An Article on Mila Kunis Launches CBD Product Line for Stoner Cats

Mila Kunis Launches CBD Product Line for Stoner Cats

Actress and entrepreneur Mila Kunis has ventured into the booming CBD pet market with the launch of her new line of CBD oils and treats for cats. Called Stoner Cats, Kunis says the products are aimed at helping anxious and stressed cats feel more relaxed.

While CBD is most commonly associated with humans using it for health and wellness, the pet industry has seen a huge surge in demand for similar products for dogs and cats. Kunis believes cats especially can benefit from CBD's calming and anti-anxiety effects.

"As a lifelong cat lady, I've seen firsthand how stressed cats can get from things like loud noises, visitors in the home, or even other pets. Their anxiety sometimes shows up as destructive scratching, yowling, or hiding," Kunis said in announcing the launch.

"I started giving my own cats small amounts of CBD to help chill them out in stressful situations and noticed a real difference in their behavior. That's what made me want to create a CBD line specifically for cats."

Stoner Cats offers CBD oils in two concentrations - 7.5mg and 15mg per serving - as well as CBD-infused catnip treats. All products are made from full-spectrum hemp extract and contain less than 0.3% THC, making them non-psychoactive for cats.

Kunis worked with veterinarians and other pet experts to formulate doses appropriate for cats, ensuring the products are safe and effective. Each item also has colorful packaging featuring photos of relaxed-looking cats.

Beyond her own experience with CBD for pets, Kunis was also motivated to launch Stoner Cats as a way to help cats in shelters. She has partnered with various animal rescue organizations across the U.S.

For every Stoner Cats product purchased, the company will donate a comparable CBD item to a shelter cat. Kunis hopes this will benefit cats dealing with the extra stress of being in a shelter environment waiting for adoption.

"As an animal lover, I wanted my first business to not only help cats directly but also support shelter animals. Donating CBD products can potentially help thousands of shelter cats feel less anxious and fearful during their stay," she explained.

While still a relatively new area, studies have shown CBD may be effective in reducing anxiety and stress responses in cats. The non-intoxicating compound is thought to work by interacting with the cat's endocannabinoid system.

Veterinary dermatologist Dr. Lauren Schnabel consulted on the Stoner Cats launch and says more research is still needed but early results are promising. "The anecdotal reports I've received from clients using CBD products for their cats' anxiety and fear issues have been very positive," she noted.

Kunis says her goal with Stoner Cats is to make high-quality, science-backed CBD options widely available to help all cats live happier, less stressful lives. She sees the pet-focused line as the first of potentially other CBD or cannabis ventures down the road.

For now, Kunis will focus on building Stoner Cats while also juggling her busy acting career. But with her passion for animals and knack for entrepreneurship, she seems poised to become a major player in the growing pet CBD industry.

If Stoner Cats is as effective at chilling out cats as its name implies, it could give Kunis' business purr-fect success and help countless cats feel more comfortable in their own skin.
